rotation problem

I am new to this forum and tried to find help for myself but without any luck. Post is probably there but I cannot find it.

The problem is simple I am trying to rotate an object around z axis. The objec itself had parameters for inclaination but not around z axis.
I found some help about editing GDL with rotx, roty and rotz parameters but nor sure how to implant this. I guess I am missing the scripting part or something. Anyway I would appriciate any help even if you guys can point me to the basics of GDL so I can help myself.

Hvala za pomoc!

DilanDog,
We need to know what object you are trying to rotate.
We need to know what platform and version of AC you are using.
Generally, rotation about the Z axis is controlled in the preview
or in the plan using the "Rotate" command but since you say
that you can't do this, we need this information.

as Peter said rotation about the Z axis is a rotation which is apparent in plan view. This is controlled in the normal object settings.

I suspect you mean either of the other axes

Can you give some more info?
Cheers John

If you mean to rotate elements relative to each other WITHIN the library part (aside from the part's overall rotation in plan), then it is handled just like any other transformation. Use ROTZ in the 3D script or ROT2 in the 2D script. All elements following the transformation will be rotated accordingly until the next DEL statement.

If you don't understand what I am saying, you need some basic GDL training. You can also practice with the effects of various transformations (ADD, ROT & MUL) on a simple BLOCK A, B, ZZYZX.

Thank you guys for a reply,
I am try to find any basic info on GDL but without any luck so I guess it will take me some time to finish this.

Since you asked me to give you additional info so it follows:
curtain wall glass par is the name of object. I see that I am do not know how to explain the question, so I hope this elevation will help to explain it.

Believe it or not the GDL manual which comes with the ArchiCAD documentation expalins the basics fairly abliet in a rather succinct manner.
The documentation is on the install CD

Also look up GDL cookbook in google for some other starter info

DilanDog,
I cannot find "curtain wall glass par" either as a curtain wall object
or as a door In AC 8.1. Where is this object/door/window ?
There is such an object (.GSM) in the AC 6.5 v4 library.
Is this object what you are using in AC 8.1 ?
I don't know what I am looking at when I view your JPG image.
Is it a plan view of a building ?
I cannot see in this image something that looks like a curtain wall
that is not correctly rotated.
Thank you,
Peter Devlin

DilanDog,
I opened a new project in AC 6.5, went to the object tool,
found the object "curtain wall glass par", placed an instance
of it in the plan, and then rotated it in the Z axis by the
method of turning it in the objects settings dialogue box
with the curved arrow in the plan preview area.
This worked as expected, the object rotated in the Z axis
in plan and in the 3D window.
I must be missing something.
Thank you,
Peter Devlin

Peter,
you are right it is an AC6.5 object. I insert it in plan and rotate it without any problem in plan. In 3d view rotate function does not respond so I cannot rotate it either way. The image is a elevation or facade if you wish of what I am trying to achive. The curtain wall is at 12 degrees tilt as you can see from picture.
