unable to customize windows and doors

When I place doors and windows I can change their size but I cannot customize type, when I go to make changes IE., adding panes, panels, handles etc. The doors and widows will not show any of my desired changes. I go into he appropriate selection settings to attempt to make my changes, I was able to do this previously but now I cannot. I am using Archicad 23 student version. omegle

Edit: I've added an attachment of what my doors/windows look like. I can adjust the type of door and the size but nothing else, windows are the same accept they of course show the glass, I can change the color but I can't do anything else such as add panes.

Check your Model View Option settings.
There is an option in there to show the 3D of doors and windows as 'Full'.
I have no idea why it is set to 'Simple' as default - this confuses a lot of people as in the object preview when you are setting them, they look fine.
