Codemeter question

I’m currently working with Archicad 29 with a codemeter protection key.

In order to open an older archived *.pla file, I need to do a new install of Archicad 26 on the same computer.

Here’s my question: if I run the original AC 26 installation program, will it try to install an outdated codemeter driver and potentially create problems with Archicad 29?

Thanks

It might, but no big deal.  Just download the current Codemeter driver again either from the main Graphisoft web site, or from the Wibu Systems web site.

Thanks, Karl.

I did find the courage to do a fresh install of Archicad 26 in order to preserve the viability of twenty years of archived pla files. (Insert rant here).

The current CodeMeter driver for was completely unaffected and Archicad 29 continued to open without any problem. However, Archicad 26 refused to open and shut down after throwing up a bunch of wibu-tis errors notices. Following the first rule problem solving, I did nothing at all and after a few more tries, ArchiCAD 26 started to open normally. I think the new install needed to do some sort of handshake with a Graphisoft licensing server before deciding it was okay.
