Couple Questions

Sorry to keep taking from the community and never giving my knowledge.
Anyways - heres another 2 questions.

In AC9 one was able to create a section using a polyline. It appears that technique has disappeared in AC10?

Creating Fills -
I've been through the manual a few times, as well as the online forums, but for some reason I cant create a vectorial fill.
I have the pattern drawn out in the plan, at the correct size, and then copied the pattern.
Upon pasting it into the create fills window, the window is either blank, or completely black.
Any advice?

Thanks in advance.

Also - In the line type dialouge, it seems to limit the length of the repeating pattern to 4", is there a way around this?

1. You can, but you need to do it using the pet palette option after the S/E is placed.

2. You can't use polylines or splines to create symbolic fills, only lines, arc/circles, hotspots anf fills. You may also try using the Zoom function within the Fill Types dialog to better see your fill.

3. There's an overly long and complex explanation for this. I wish it was much a simpler WYSIWYG interface!

1. You can only rotate the entire S/E, not just part of it. ArchiCAD does not automatically create unfolded S/E views like that.

2. 1 out of 3 ain't too bad.

3. Just pop down to your local university and get yourself a PhD in maths, then it'll come to you.
