Problems with working on my files on different computers

I have just downloaded ArchiCAD 10 educational version for my computer at home. I am able to work with files at my school (also ArchiCAD 10 edu version) and bring them home. The problem accur when I then bring my files back to school again. I am not able to open them! ArchiCad gives me the message "Warning! Unknown document version (0,0)". All the files are .pln. What can be wrong?

You sure you don't have the commercial version at home?

I thought educational version are .ple extensions and the commercial version were .pln's

The commercial version of ArchiCAD does not read educational versions (or vice versa AFAIK).

You'd have as much luck opening a microsoft excel file....

Cheers,

It sounds more like you have edu at home and commercial at school, if I remember it correctly from old versions, edu can open commercial files but commercial can't open education files?

But, if I'm not totally wrong, I think commercial can open edu files today (in AC10), but then you have the education logos all over, so the commercial version looks like an educational version. I've not been able to test this though.

Both at home and at school it says "welcome to ArchiCAD 10 education version" when I start ArchiCAD, so the problem must be somthing else. Got any other tips about what I can try to do?
