AC 9 transition to AC 10

I am currently helping a medium sized firm learn ArchiCAD. They have several AC 9 licenses, so I am beginning in AC 9. but.... I know that the upgrade to AC 10 won't be far off. Personnaly I don't have AC 10 so I have not done the transition.

Can anyone tell me if it will be better to start the new archicad users with the idea of linked drawings or separate PMK's? From what I have read, the transition to AC 10 is a little more difficult with separate PMK's. Is this assumption correct?

I couldn't agree more. If anyone is going to ask you wobbly questions, it's a newbie! But it is very rewarding too, teaching new users and helping them improve their lives.

I am surprised John is alllowed to do that, but it is a very good thing IMHO. The more people our software is made available to, the better. I simply cannot understand these people (and I'm sure there's a few here in Australia too) that relate demo-ing ArchiCAD to test driving a Ferrari, in that the more people who try it, the less valuable it becomes. Sure ArchiCAD may perform like a Ferrari, but it doesn't have to be marketed like one. We need to market it to the masses, not the elite. It's performance will only increase with more copies sold because it will give GS more resources. Anyay, off the soap box...

Cheers,
