About light tool settings

Hi All,

Im a beginner exploring ArchiCAD9 . I had cleared all my doubts and quires through ArchiCAD talk forum. Im with a new problem on using light tool. When ever I place a light im not able to switch on it. Can I know how to switch on alight after palcing it in my project.

Hi Rajesh,

The effects of lights is only seen in a rendering. They are invisible in the 3D window. (Well, that is not completely true: some lights have a parameter that will cause a wireframe light cone or globe to be displayed in the 3D window to suggest the extent of the light.)

Only way to see actual light and shadows is by rendering ... just make sure you have the checkbox checked for enabling lights in the Photorendering settings dialog.
