Hi everyone. I have to model a railing of a staircase like the one in the photo. The part in red is a closed stringer that has an offset from the staircase. But it is detached from the staircase with a gap, part in blue. How can this be done?
Operating system used: Windows 11

You can't use the stair stringers to do this.
And there is nothing in the railing unless you are very clever with GDL and can maybe script a custom panel.
I would just draw it as a morph plane in elevation/section, then re-position it in 3D from the elevation/section line plane to the stair and give it some thickness.
It won't be 'live', but I am not sure what else you could do.
