I have found (accidentally) that holding down Cmd whilst opening a file appears to reset the Toolbox palette to the wide format (several rows of icons as opposed to single vertical stacked)
I came across this as I frequently start opening a file and Cmd-Tab to do email or something as i wait. It appears that this function works anytime during the Loading Data dialog box stage of file opening ... which is usually when i Cmd-Tab ..
Does anyone know what this annoying function is called, where it is documented and if/how it can be disabled?
