Assuming you are trying to copy/paste text and not something else. Select the text block and then start editing it. Once in the edit mode, you can select the text desired and perform the copy command. This will then paste into your Word document without issue.

By default selecting and copying in Archicad does not copy info to your windows clipboard.
It is an internal Archicad copy only.
The best and easiest way is to use a screen capture program.
Otherwise there is a Registry setting that will make Archicad copy to the clipboard as well.
See this old post ...

The registry path is a little different now as it is in "ARCHICAD-64" rather than just "ARCHICAD".
I haven't tried it since back then as I just use a screen capture program.
Barry.

There is a Registry entry called "copy to picture also" found here in the registry .....
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Graphisoft\ArchiCAD\ArchiCAD 13.0.0 AUS R1\Input]
You will need to adjuast that path to suit your version of the software.
Set this registry value to "1" an now youcan copy and paste images.
