Creating Vertical Beam

I have created a WT6(T bracket). i created it as a column and did solid element operations to create holes. this is a cable barrier bracket holding 12 cables. i tried to create it as a beam and adding holes which beams elements alow you to do. i could not get the beam to rotate vertical. short of creating a GDL part is there a way to create a vertical beam or do i continue with creating it as a column. using Archicad 11.0.
thanks in advance.

2 Variants:
1.Column Tool + Solid Element operations (Insert Hole).
2.To draw a beam with holes > View > 3D View Mode > Acsonometry View > 3D View Mode > 3D Projection Settings > Side View (see attachment file) >OK
File > Libraries and Objects > Save 3D Model as >Name> Save…. >Object Tool…

How about two small walls and a few round openings. Just to keep it simple...
