Cursor displacement

A while back I was working in a tutorial file and learned how to input "+x(distance)" to make the cursor move to a given point away from a snap point or wall intersection or whatever. I can't seem to make this work in my own files without first setting a user node. Can someone tell me where this setting is?

Using the tracker, hover over a particular point, then type 'X' then (for example) '0.3' '+' (or - to go to the left) then hit enter. This starts the piece of geometry at that point.

To recap, position your cursor, type 'X' '0.3' '+' and hit enter to start drawing.

You can also do something similar while drawing geometry too. If you want to draw a piece of wall 0.3m shorter than another, start the wall as normal, move the cursor to the point where you want the 0.3m to measure from and type in '0.3' '-' and hit enter.

I hope that's clear enough. It's easier to watch someone actually do it than to describe!

Thanks Peter. I was putting the + before the distance.
