Detail Referencing

Hi All,

What I want to do sounds possible, but not sure how to carry this out or o find out if this is in fact not possible.

I have two Pln. files: (Working in AC 21, can not afford to wait for AC22 NZ version)
1 - Apartment block.pln (AB.pln)
2 - Detail.pln (D.pln)

What I have done is I have created our Building consent documentation in the file AB.pln and placed them all on sheets. Next, I have created our details in D.pln and placed them all on sheets too.

Now what I want to do is create a live reference (Detail reference callout) link between the two files, so in the case, if I move a detail from one sheet to another in the D.pln file it will update the detail call out in the AB.pln file.

Please help.

P.S the reason I want to do this is that we have 3 apartment blocks which will have shared details, so rather than having the same detail in all 3 files it will be in one central place where all apartment files can reference from.
