Detail markers not saving?

Hi,

I can place a detail marker and link it to a drawing and it works fine, until I send and receive changes.
The marker on the plan loses the data and shows #DrgID / #LayID in the marker.

What I did was:
1. saved plan to !/4 scale view for room blow ups
2. placed views on layout sheet
3. went into plan and placed linked detail markers to the layout drawings
4. sent changes
5. no links to the drawing layouts

I haven't found any other posts here that address this. I've been looking for the magic check box to fix this and can' find it. Is there one?

Anyone else have this problem or fix?

Thanks for the help,
MM

hi

I tried to recreate the problem, but couldn't quite follow what you did.

Do you have team leader access? You may also require exclusive access before it will save changes to a layout. (i'm not sure about this - haven't used TW for about 6 months and can't remember all it's little foibles)

cheers

I have team leader access.
I've tried it with exclusive access. In both cases everything seems to link and work fine. Until I send/receive changes.

It appears to be a problem with the link to drawing option.

If I link to a detail in the project map it holds when I save.

If I link to a drawing in the layout book, or anything else for that matter, it doesn't hold the link.

It must be something I'm doing/not doing?

This is happening to me as well. I just posted a topic about it and then I found this. I am not sure what to do either. Tom Waltz???????

This was happening to me as well, it occurred somewhat randomly in two of my projects. Most of the detail markers were function properly, but there were a couple that refused to retain the linked drawing information. I got around this by deleting the offending detail marking and "dragging a copy" of one that was working properly. After relinking the new marker to the proper drawing I have not had the problem re-occur (so far). This should work for you as long as you have at least one marker placed in your drawings that always works

I'm having the same problem. Have lost lots of hours re-linking. Does not seem to correspond to teamwork priveledges or anything. Any answer yet on a fix?

We are having the same problem with Interior Elevation markers.

Anyone solve this issue?
