Distance guide not showing to walls

Sandramuller

So I finally made it work and it works great for my table test.

I also managed to get a distance between my door and my window.

But nothing comes u p when I place my door or window between two walls and once placed nothing comes up either. Only if I have 2 of them in the same wall I get a distance between my door and window but again not to my walls either side

It's been a while since I have used/tried distance guides.

"T" intersecting walls are not included when moving doors/windows, only the "L" corner intersections I believe.

I don't have Archicad running at the moment.

Will it allow you to manually drag the target end of the distance to the wall you want to measure from?

Need to check in the office later.

But why do I find videos where they have it?

DG’s were not fully cooked in AC27, when I zoomed in close they disappear from view. I am using a Mac so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it ? AC28 should have them fully cooked hopefully ? AC28 should be in private Beta by now.

I will also test placing a single door or window between two walls to see what DG’s show up in AC27.

My findings: If I zoom in enough and the wall junction is no longer seen at the sides, DG’s disappear. I get DG’s to the edges of walls or openings with the opening being a higher priority over a wall junction. I can hover the mouse over the DG arrow to move it to a junction or another reference point.

The distance guides in that video ar locking to walls at the end of the wall the door is being placed in.

Not walls that intersect along the length of that wall.

They are designed to do that.

You have to see the elements that the guides are locking to.

They also have to be perfectly horizontal or vertical.

The number display of DG’s on the screen is a bit too small for me. Do you know if there is a way to make them show up larger in the current version of AC27 ?

Not that I am aware of.
