Doors in 3D

Can the door itself be turned off in 3D and still maintain the opening and the casings?

Yes, select 'empty' under 'Door panel' in the door settings. This will leave just the frame and casing visible.

If you want everything off and just leave the bare opening, turn the '3d Detail level' to 'off'. This gives you the option of turning the door back on again rather than use an empty opening.
