i.e north needs to be 0 degrees, east = 90 degrees, south = 180 degrees & west = 270 degrees.
We often need to enter directions of survey drawings which in South Africa are calculated clockwise from North. Changing the units to surveyor units is not exactly what I require.
In the old days, pre 1996, I could do it in autocad. Subsequently, I've just been converting the angles 'manually', which is not ideal.
thanks

Yes there is.
Pick the first point of your line. HoldSHIFT down while moving cursor up screen (in direction of north), with shift still down hit R key (you can then release shift), enter R value (distance), hit A key (for angle), enter angle then - (minus ), then ENTER . What this is doing is saying "subtract this angle from north direction".
Hope this helps.

Haneef,
You can also go Preferences/Working Units & Levels/Angle Unit. Select "Surveyor's Unit". That will let you enter it as the survey shows. Like S75 35' 42" E. (That's how it is in the US, anyway).
