Fill tool could slow down the system???

Hello, it's me again,

I am working on a really massive site plan at the moment, and I have just completed applying all the fills on to grass areas, road areas and car parking areas. But I found that after applying all the fills, the construction drawings start to slow down on the model view (it’s even slower at the layout view), what wrong with that

the site drawings are all in 2D.

Vectorial Hatching can slow down the best machines. Try turning it off at View>On-screen View Options> Vectorial Hatching. As the menu suggests, this won't affect your published documents. It will show your fills as bitmaps on the screen only. Later you can use 'working' Model View options to turn them off altogether.

Cheers,

Just as an idiotic aside, i imagine just how slow the fill tool would be if i had to draw all those lines and/or dots in by themselves every time.

Also assess the actual fill you are using. Spread the lines and dots (in the fill definitions) or choose a simple fill to make it draw quicker
