GPS readings and ArchiCAD

I use a GPS machine (maggelan) for mapping land plots. Autocad consultants are able to simply type these readings in order to create the site plans using their polyline tool. I wonder how we can do this in ArchiCAD.

hi constantine

there are the marvellous 'architerra' and/or 'archimap' add-ons from cigraph.

the first is an extension to archicad terrain modelling, the second is a tool that downloads survey data from GPS-like equipment.

i know 'architerra' is able to read a delimited text file of coordinate values in order to create a mesh, and that 'archimap' can read info direct from laser survey equipment. i'm not sure how you might combine the two though.

if you can get the GPS data into a single text file, 'architerra' will be able to make a mesh from it . . .

check out their website ( www.cigraph.com ) and e-mail fabrizio@cigraph.com for more details...

Manually, the same way. Just type the coordinates.

Automatically, as Ben said.

Good to see you back here after a very long time!
