Dear Archi-Talkers,

Graphisoft has uploaded the "Construction Equipment" and the "Garden Works" libraries on GDLCentral website. The "Building Textures" and the "Street and Traffic" libraries will also be available soon for free download.

The original version of these libraries were released as part of the "Graphisoft Collection" series for ArchiCAD 5.0 and 6.5 versions. Now we have updated them for 8.1 to provide full compatibility with the latest ArchiCAD version. The following new features were introduced in the library parts:

- Web conform object names
- Graphisoft standard parameter names
- Parameters organized into hierarchy
- Correct subtype set for each object

Note: Since all the objects were renamed the updated library is not compatible with the original Graphisoft Collection library. The new version is made for ArchiCAD 8.1 and later releases.

Dear Archi-Talkers,

We have uploaded the Building Textures Library on the GDLCentral website for free download.

With this collection of more than 2000 textures and alpha channel picture objects, you can create photorealistic images with ArchiCAD or other rendering applications. The pictures are saved in TIFF and JPG formats. A PDF catalogue is also included to help you browsing in the library.

The "Street and Traffic" GDL library will be also available soon on GDLCentral.

Are these the same as the 20th Anniversary textures, Tibor? (I.e., is there anything new for someone who has the 20th Anniversary CD?)

I just used several of the 20th Anniv images in Piranesi for a quick client image ... vases of flowers, paintings, rugs, etc. Very handy. As I mentioned in an old post, the mouldings in this library can be painted on with Piranesi as well - much easier than trying to get them into the model or onto an image any other way.

Szia Tibor,

Thanks a lot for the release, but the folder structure at the GDL central is different than the one shown at the PDF file. The moulding folder contains the panel and the panel folder is missing.
Best regards

Yes, Karl. The uploaded texture library is the same as the one on the 20th Anniversary CD. No changes have been made.

The moulding folder contains the panel and the panel folder is missing.

Thank you for the bug report, Youssef. I've corrected this problem on GDLCentral.

None of the libraries listed on that page are clickable to download, Tibor, and I can't find anywhere else on the site to download them. They are not listed on the downloads page. Could you please provide functional links?

Thanks.
