I use fills, with "show area text" checked. Others may use Zones but I have never got into those.

Fills are the quick and simple way. Zones can do more (net area, etc.) so you have to be sure they are doing what you want. They also don't update automatically except when doing gross area, so they are all around a little trickier.

Help ppl,
I dunno how to caculate the area in archiCAD. Whihc command key does help?
Thanks.
Select a fill, be sure you select the Show Area Text box.
Hold down the spacebar and and dbl click (left) to place the area text.
You can manually place fills with area text manually too.
Using zones is very good for this, however you said you are in a hurry.
I hope you got what you needed in time.
