Issue with using complex profile for gable wall

I am wondering if someone can help me out here.... I am a new user of ArchiCAD so please bare with me
I have created a complex profile of our log wall which works well for my first floor walls but not so well for gables. When I trim the wall to the roof I lose the log profile and it converts to flat horizontal siding lines. I would use the built in log walls with the software but anything less than a 7 inch stack height doesn't work. Tech support tells me the radius can't be shown with the built in log settings for 6 inch high logs because the regen rate would be too slow??
