Line type scales

Tim Ball
Expert
Some of my line types have a scale in brackets after them, some don't. Sometimes I even get 2 line types at different scales to choose from.

I have them all set to scale with the drawing scale, but this doesn't seem to work correctly and it all makes it difficult to achieve the right look when plotting.

Any ideas on how I can solve this?

Thanks

If you have a scale after the name of the Line type, it means it is scale-dependent. The number shows at what scale it was originally created.

The ArchiCAD Reference Guide talks about this:

The appearance of the lines on the screen, printer or plotter depends
on the following options:
• With the Scale with plan radio button selected, the line elements
are placed on the Worksheet at the given scale and interpreted like
other construction elements. If the scale of the Worksheet is
changed, the lines will grow or shrink proportionally.
• With the Scale-independent radio button selected, the line
elements have the same size as seen in the dialog box regardless of
the actual scale.

See more there.
