Make A tilted Beam ?

How do you make a beam which is tilted to the side ? ( not straight up and down) I need to place on top of a curved beam so the angle changes the futher to the edge of the curved beam you get. Any way to do this besides using the slab tool and making a individual object in 3d.This would require making a bunch of custom beams.

without the GDL route.

altho not accuratly depicted in plan- roof parts could do it for a simple tilt - you'd make your roof edges perpendicular....

there must be an object like this in the library......

all of the steel beam objects can tilt, but none can be rolled around a curve . . .

could you use the profiler?

You can use roof objects, purlins, rafters etc that have various angle settings. Or a RHS type beam in the basic library/building structures/steel structures/steel sections library (rotate along axis) can't seem to cap ends of these tho'.

Hi,

try using a beam or column shaped element in the Basic Shapes library folder.
They have param's for tilting, tapering and so forth ...

i would give up features shuch as construction simulation, zones, calculate and pick any 4 more to just have the ability to rotate an object in the section/elevation window.

this would be an incredibly valuable tool.

I'm with Ronald on that one.
