I can't create "a point" in the center of the mesh. My guess is to make a really, really small hole (point sized) in the mesh.
Is that about right?
Marc
P.S.
..or just use the roof tool.

Select the mesh. Mesh tool active, set the geometry method to polygon. Double-click where you want the point. Ok the dialog. Click on the point again and choose the Z height button on the palette.
You can also use the polygon geometry method to add a multi-point contour.
To put the burial chambers in the pyramid will probably require solid element ops.

Ahhh, I was trying to do just that... but I was in the "Rectangular" geomerty method.

Bill's Idea works too.
Thank you !
Now if I could just find a good Sarcophagus library part...
(Did I mention this was for a wall/pier cap?)
