Need assistance finding part of my data

I copied a file to change it. I was working on the roof level for a few hours. I went back and forth from the 3d model to the roof level. Suddenly, I went to the 3d model and my roof disappeared. It no longer shows up on the model. I am also missing some walls and details but it is very random. When I go back to the roof layer, the roofs still show that they are there. Could anyone please give me any idea how I might correct this situation?

Thank you for your help

Are you by chance activating a layer combo that does not have the missing
elements layers turned on?
Listing your profile would be nice.

I have checked my layer settings. The items have changed each time I opened the file that are missing. So the layer settings are inconsistant that are not showing.

I am sorry, I dont understand what you mean by profile.

To get consistent screen work areas,
I find it best to use Saved views.
(Some don't use them)

I've posted an image of basic flow.
What I haven't shown is 1st set up your
layer combos (at the very least) from the layers dialog, because you will certainly want to have one of those per Saved view in the View Map as shown as 1.

"I don't understand what you mean by profile"
After logging in you will see that you can select a tab called Profile
to the left of your log in name.
This is where you can fill in some info about yourself and computer specs,
version, build etc, or as you so feel.
(A couple of advanced users can get a bit grumpy over neglecting this).
It help folks get the the right answer for you in some cases.
