Open new instance of ArchiCAD

I would like to set this to default, so when ever I open a new file it will open it into a new instance, so that there is no risk of me closing down by-mistake the file i am currently working on.

Is there a way to set this up?

This option in Work Environment / More Options will allow you to open a new instance if you're selecting from recent list or dragging a file onto the Archicad icon, but if you have saved your current file I don't think this will override the default action of opening in current instance - you will still have to check the "Launch a new instance" button. I try to make sure this is the first thing I do if I want a new instance, before selecting the file.

That option dose not seem to be there for ArchiCAD 12, but I understand what your saying.....so pretty much if i am opening a project from File>Open I have to make sure I click "Launch a new instance" if i wish for a new instance of ArchiCAD for the new project.

Its not such a big issue, but would have helped if u could do it from File > Open too.

Thks.

Sorry, didn't read your signature properly.

Yeah it can be annoying.
