Page numbering question

Is there a way to divide the Lay Out Book in 2, in order to be able to have in separate a SET of pages for presentation purpose and a different SET of pages for the Construction Documents? (Without one interfering in the page numbering of the other). ???

Yes, Just create a new Subset in the root of the Layout Book and be sure to set the "ID" to not effect the sequencing and the ID assignments to follow the Upper Level assignment.

Then place all of the desired Subsets and Layouts in the new "dumb" Subset. You can create as many different Subsets like this as you need within one Layout Book. Also be sure to use the Master Layouts to also help control and organize the differing Layouts.

I've done what you described but it stills showing the TOTAL amount of pages in the AUTO TEXT "NUMBER OF LAYOUTS".

I have 20 pages of PRESENTATION SET and 30 pages of Construction Documents and in all of them the Subtitles shows:

SHEET "X" OF 50

Archicad will always give you the page number out of the total number of layouts in the layout book. There is a workaround posted; do a search.

Yep... By what I've found this question has been around for a long time in the A.C. community. I guess I will need to post it in the WISH LIST in Architalk.

It would be very useful to have one file with different LAOUT BOOKS so once you have a good template developed you can produce Schematic Design with colors and drawings in smaller scale and at the same time you have the CDs working in parallel.

Otherwise you have to split the file and If you have any change in the process, all your nice presentation drawings become outdated

Ah, I didn't understand your initial question. Currently, the only way to do this is to separate out the Layout Book(s) from the Model file and have two different Layout Book files. Separating out the Layout Book from the Model actually works great for very large project files.
