Profile walls don't join vertically

Title basically says it all, I need to have these 2 layers of the complex profile wall joined to have a clean 3D and facade view. I am using complex profiles to model complex layer joinery in some area of the model.

It looks to me that they are overlapping rather than touching (stacked on top of each other).
Could that be the problem?
