Railing - Adjust inner post spacing

Hello, I'm having an issue with the railing I've created. In the drawing, I can only place the inner posts at equal intervals from the start and end points of the railing. What I want to do is align the inner posts with the centers of the steps (as shown in the reference lines). For this, they need to be at varying distances from the start and end reference points. What can I do about this? Thank you

There could be many settings to check, but the main one is at Segment level: Segment pattern settings> Set pattern length to number of treads.

Then you can play around with Node Settings> Ending Node Offset to displace the pattern.
