I would like to create a floor recessed external uplighter that will illuminate a granite wall. What would be the best way to achieve this? Help is appreciated. Thank you J

If you don't have a light (lamp) object that will do this, you can place a Spot Light form your General Light Source folder and by dragging the target position, you can rotate it in 3D so it points up.

Hi Barry,
I have the spotlight light source (see screenshot attached) and I can see that the arrow indicating the direction. I am unclear how I alter the target position and I only seem to be able to rotate the light source in one axis. Help appreciated. Thank you
Jamie

It is a bit tricky to manipulate.
I found it easiest to place the origin of the spot at the bottom of a wall and then rotate the target node to the top of the wall.
Then you can move it to where ever you want and adjust the spot length and diameters.
It seems a little odd, but I didn't see any settings for the target co-ordinates or a rotation angle, but I didn't have a really good look.
Barry.
