Hi all!

¿Anybody knows anything about AC 12, please?

I'm hearing rumours, but nothing concrete...

Thanks a lot and regards.

P.S. Like another user says: "forgive my spanglish..."

What with there being no 1000% scripts and all.

So you mean , for example, architerra does not increase productivity?

In my experience, no, it doesn't.

Assuming it did, how could a user script Architerra on their own?

Do you have any experience with Ruby in Sketchup?

Do you think Ruby is not a very powerful tool in SU?

When i say scripting i dont mean a macro langruage (recording user actions)

Scripting = Internal Interpreted Language.

I dont know what you have in mind but a scripted language (like Ruby) can do ANYTHING you can do using a C++ api.

I really dont get you. Perhaps you understand smthg else by the word script (perhaps you though macro).

(if you leave in places with flat surface the architerra is useless. if you live in place where tons of land work has to be done then it is essential)

Considering Ruby is a cross between a macro writer and an API, that statement is a little misleading.

Dude: you're the one who claimed a 1000% increase in productivity if you could script. No, you don't get a project done 10 times faster with Architerra. I was trying to get you to calm down with the excessive rhetoric and use realistic descriptions to justify your wish.

In any case, this thread continues to be hijacked (and I'm contributing to it by responding). Since I'm unable to split it, I'm going to lock it.

I'll repeat what I said below:

if you want to continue a script discussion, start a thread for just that.

If you want to talk about add-ons, start a thread.

If people want to continue talking about AC12 - the original topic here - join in one of the other AC12 threads, or start a new one.

Thanks,
Karl
