See attached. I have several holes made for roof light wells and the
only way to create copies is to place and drag poly lines then magic wand
them to make copies of the original roof hole.
Works correctly when cutting holes in the ceiling slab below the roof.

Just tested it:
Using the arrow tool, click an EDGE of a roof hole. This should select only the opening.
Use either the pet palette multicopy or the Keyboard command and drag the selected opening. It's a copy!!

And yes I've tried this on many of the other roof planes in the same project.

Before sending this I opened another file and all is ok, strange.
Stranger still is that when I create a new roof in the problem file, again all works as it should, go figure

Thanks again DA, just need someone to make me look harder.
The attached shows same result. No need for anyone else to waste their time testing. Gremlins

One final comment.
Tried the syringe to take up the properties of offending roof, then injecting same roof and all works fine again.
Try doing that with pen and paper
