Roof accessories

I downloaded the accessories from the "help goodies" pannel.
I copied the accessories folder to Ac add-on directory and reopened AC for roof accessories to be instaled.
Then I selected the roof, wwent design->design extras->roof accessories, but I got an empty accessories object window
What am I doing wrong?

Are you absolutely sure you told Library Manger to load the folder the the accessories are in?

Sorry if this is to simple but if this is done, it really should work.

Also, do you have a roof selected when you go to the accessories?

i hope that you do have it working . . . but just for clarification: you have downloaded the accessories add-on AND the accessories library from the goodies webpage, right? one won't work properly without the other . . .

Hi Mac,

Under the Help menu, Click on 'ArchiCAD 10 Goodies'

Scroll down the web page that launches until you see 'Accessories Library' and download the correct file to your desktop.

Extract it to the 'Graphisoft\ArchiCAD 10\ArchiCAD Library 10' folder (the same place as your AC library lcf)

Restart ArchiCAD and Bob's your uncle!

Hope that helps,

Pete.

i found the library download further down the page
the standing seam works good for me...
-but my next question..? how do i control roof visibility settings..??
i can't see my floor plan thru the cover fill of the roof...
it doesn't seem to me that the first floor roof should even be showing in the first floor plan...!!

i've clicked dozens of settings but nothing seems to work..i'm sure it's something simple..

i've only been using archicad for less than a week...

To control the visibility of the roof, create it on the storey you want to view it. Then control how it is displayed, according to the Floor Plan Cut Plane, using the projection settings in the roof setting dialog.

AC11 gives you more control than AC10 over how and where things are displayed, by giving you the option of defining a 'home storey' that the element belongs to and is displayed on.

The manual explains things in greater detail. The control of how elements appear can be complicated, but stick with it and think logicly and you will get the hang of it.

Dont forget to put in your signature your AC version and build number etc as the procedure is a bit different depending on what you have.

Good luck!!
