Roof w/ special fascia condition

Is there anyway I can get a reveal type in the entire perimeter fascia edge of my gable roof. Not just the angled gable end but the entire perimeter of the roof. I want a 2" high piece then back 1" & then a 8" high piece. I'm trying to make it out of 2 roofs 1 on top of the other (2" high on top of the 8" high) but there is a small gap on the gable ends that will look stupid in renderings. Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance,
Michele

Which version of Archicad are you on?

The new Profiles in AC10 are really nice for that kind of thing.

Do you own either CADImage Profiler or SmartParts?

That always seems to be the answer. Not to start a rant but anybody who does anything always has to purchase 100 other programs or parts in order for things to turn out correctly!!!! UGHHHHH

Sorry but we don't own those.

Thanks anyway,

Michele,
Could you post an image of the "fascia" detail you want for
both the eave and the rake.
I have a set of library parts that might do the job
but I need to see the detail to determine if these
parts will work for you.

Tom - are you talking about complex profiles? I'd like to know how you can use any profiles with roofs to model fascias.

Here's a JPG. I'm talking about the red "lines" which are really 2 roofs on top of each other. The problem is there is a gap. Hopefully I attached 2 jpgs that will show you what I'm trying to do. Hopefully the roof gap won't be noticable in renderings it's just frustrating for the roof tool not to work like you want it or need it to work.

Thanks for taking the time.

the Profiles would be separate from the roof. You would just be modeling them next to the roof.

Can't you cut a section through the roof and drag the upper roof down to meet the lower one?
