how can i subtract an part from a slab that has an arc in its perimeter?
when i right click in the perimeter and try to subtract from it there is no option to define other than rectangular parts to be subtracted?

Also how someone can convert a polyline into a slab (can not do it with the magic wand)

Maybe you have the "rectangle" geometric method set in your Info box.
You can subtract (or add) any shape, by drawing it or by Magic-wanding on any perimeter. (obviously the subtracted/added shape must intersect the original perimeter)

Why not?
