Saving a custom profile metal fence profile as a railing panel

Hi all, I am wondering how I can save a custom metal fence panel created with the complex profile extruder into the library. I want to be able to access this custom panel from the railing UI to add it into my railing design. Is it actually possible without using any GDL scripting ?

Maybe its is easier to use the curtain wall for this...

Hi @cuba, I may just have to give it a try just to see what happens especially if it is able to do a staggered fence design.

Edit: This super video on the creative uses of the curtain wall tool in AC24 has got me thinking.

I am happy with my method above for now. I can certainly use that tool for modeling other patterns like tiles, roof framing and suspended ceilings etc.

Thanks for the link!

The tricky part is the connection at the top and the alignment of the grid.

Yeah cool nice work. I have to be able to stagger the bottom as well and that wouldn’t be much of a problem with a few edits.

I would just use a group of components with the CP column and beams with normal columns to make a module. Then just replicate the module and drop them in height as they go down the slope.
