Shake roof accessory missing

It looks like AC 8.0 and 9.0 discontinued the full functionality of the old roof surfacer (xr7_roof_surfacer.GSM) add-on. The old one allowed the algorithmic modeling of shakes, corrugated metal and clay tile. The new one appears to do only standing seam roofs.

Has anyone found a way around this or found a way to get the 7.0 library part to work as an add-on in 9.0? What I'm looking for is shingle/shake modeling. Any info or workarounds appreciated. Thanks --Chazz

Chazz,
I'm not sure about the US version, but in the Swedish version it's there.

How are you trying to get to it? In ArchiCAD 9 you get to through Extras--->Accessories--->Roof Accessories.
Sorry but the attached image is in Swedish, but it's what you are after.

Cheers.

Yes, it's exactly what I was after. Curious that it was omitted in the US version. I'll see If I can get it from the Int english Lib. Thanks

Chazz,

I have the US version and have it. Under parameters, did you click on "sheathing type"? The other shingle options are there. (On mine, anyway).

Good Grief! This forum is great at being able to reach out to so many wise users At the same time one's embarrassment is multiplied by that global factor when one misses something so obvious. In my own pathetic defense I will say that I did not explore the library part as well as I might have because I thought I read here that the functionality was indeed missing.

Anyway, thanks for your patience and tutelage.
