Skylight Tool

Is it possible to add skylight to a concrete slab for example on basements to bring in natural light?

if so how do one do so, i only found that skylights can only be used on roofs and not on slabs am i wrong please assist

Hi @matthewsteenkamp 

 

There is kind of a workaround:

  • Set the use of your slab composite available for roofs or leave it simple if you only need concrete.
  • Create a roof with no slope (or the slope you need).
  • Add the skylight.
  • Classify that roof as a slab.
  • Clange plan and section settings so cover fits your needs.
  • Always be conscious about that type change for documentation, etc.

You can just cut a hole in the slab and place a skylight with the object tool rather than the skylight tool.

It won't be associated to the slab of course.

 

Or use the flat roof as Ricardo suggests.
