Something wrong with opening 2d representation

Hello,

I have a simple modeling topic, roof and perforated with a new opening tool, all good in 3d, but it seems that in 2d is no way to get it to work properly. It doesn't want to show as a projected hole, not at all. I don't know how these kinds of bugs can still be so persistent. Snimak ekrana 2025-06-20 144455.pngSnimak ekrana 2025-06-20 144549.png

Hi @Studio Precht

It depends on what you really need, but you could explore the Morph tool to perform a subtract Solid Element Operation (SEOand send the morph operator to a hidden layer.

Some Skylights might work too depending on the purpose, of course.

Another way is to select the roof and use the same Roof tool to draw the hole inside. That is probably the best way in my opinion.

I agree that this is far from perfect or desireable.

The whole Roof as an element needs some rework I'd say.

Hey Ricardo,

Thanks for the reply!

I dont like morphs because they are not flexible. Instead i used thells, they work quite well.

Best regards,
