Struggling with Rotated View Orientation

Anonymous

Hi all,

I've been running into issue after issue with the new Rotated View Orientation command. On the surface, it seems like a great way to model a project that has multiple angles and orientations.

However, I've been discovering some issues that I have not been able to get around (so far).

One is a recurring printing issue, which Graphisoft is aware of and currently working on. They fixed it in R13, but it reappeared in R14.

I recently tried putting in a detail callout for an enlarged plan for the slanted portion of the building. I can't get the detail bubble to accurately contain the actual "view range" of the detail. I can rotate the detail bubble to match the floor plan, but this shifts independently of the actual view range of the detail.

Anyone have some workaround ideas? (Short term, I'm thinking of just manually drawing the bubble and drawing a dumb tag, but this completely defeats the purpose of BIM!)
