Team Work File - Copied to new location

Hi,

In an effort to archive our project at different stages, we copied our .plp file to another location on our network. After the first few times, we started saving it out as a .pln file.

My question is this; if I open up one of the earlier .plp files that was moved to the archived directory, will I corrupt or overwrite anything that relates to the current version?

I guess I'm a bit confused as to where the "bulk" of the information about a teamworked file is stored.

Thanks!

Everything is stored in the PLP file. If you open a copy, you won't damage the original.

That said, you may run into an occasional layout that points to the original file or a library part that's changed. For archive purposes, it's usually best to save the files as PLAs.
