Tool Prompts

I seem to have lost my on screen tool prompts, "Enter first node of polyline" etc. I also lost the "rubber banding" effect when drawing a line, wall, slab etc., and when dragging. This seems like basic, easy stuff, but I just can't find the fix. (Acad 8.1 on windows XP)

Click on Window/Palette Display/Show Status Bar.

Thank you Stephen, but...from "Window" I see "Floating Pallets", then no "status bar".

In ArchiCAD 8.1, if you right click on the Toolbar or the grey background, you get options to turn on the toolbar or statusbar, as well as customising the toolbar.
