I'm studying alone the archicad 3D trees, and, actually, I don't understand how works the specific paramether for automatic crown. (I attached an image in the end of post, showing this).
What are these "zones" for simplified and detailed crowns? When the tree changes its crown for some specific type?
(sorry for my english)
Thanks!

The tree will change it's display (detailed or simplified crown) depending on distance from camera. In my example, because the checkbox is ticked, it will be detailed if closer than 30m, simplified crown from 30m to 70m, and ellipsoid at a distance greater than 70m. Uncheck the checkbox if you want trees to always display the way you set them.
I hope this is what you were after.
