See what happens when we stretch the InsulFib library part too small!

And another: The helicopter game (as reported by Kim from ACUE)...

1. Set the tracker to "On demand" in Project Preferences
2. Put in the first node of a straight wall in plan
3. Type "a" then input 12.345 then type another "a", without touching the mouse or any other key. Do not press the "Enter" key.
4. Wait for about 10 seconds, watching the tracker box. It should move to the centre, top third of the plan view. Read the information in it, giving you a countdown to the start of the game.
5. Use the cursor keys to gently lower the helicopter; you may need to start with the up arrow depending on which direction it starts moving at the start of the game, and simultaneously the side arrows to get it to land vertically and not crash at an angle.

I think the idea is to land as quickly and gently as possible to get a high score!

Combined with the First Person Shooter (holding down F+P+S) in the Explore mode of the 3D window, it clear to see that they do have a laugh!

Now back to work!

The score only counts when you don't have a minus sign in front of it

I had 5314 as a score a couple of days after my return from ACUE, but as we're not migrating our projects to 10 yet, I had to return the 10 dongle after that. So long ago... think what I've been missing all this time, not to mention I'm behind on learning anything more on AC10 ...

Seems so. I had reports back of it not working for the Mac users I sent the 'tip' to.

Kim:

Sorry to get off this fun topic, but I am sure you know that you can run ArchiCAD 10 in demo mode without the dongle (no save or print).

Yes, thanks David. The problem is, I learn when I use something because it's what I'm using... if you know what I mean. Playing with an unsavable version of something when I am being paid for work we're charging clients for is difficult to justify - even though I see the value in it, that doesn't mean I'll be allowed to just do that.

So yes - in theory I could do it, but I learn when I use something to get the results I need to get.

Thanks anyway (maybe I should fire it up at lunchtime, try some things out and also play helicopters... 😉 )
