Window reveal depth

Hi, I am new to Archicad and not able to achieve this window - this image shows what I am getting and what I want to model I tried all options with reveal but I can not just push the window in, it is always at the edge of the reveal please help.thank you.

The reveal is active from the face of the door/window.

There doesn't seem to be one for a stepped configuration as you want.

I would use the opening tool to place a slightly larger limited depth opening in front of your window.

Not a perfect solution, but it should give you the step affect that you want.
