Would I use 'rotate a copy' to achieve this..

Basically, I have an egg-shaped 'special object' and what I would like to do is have small spiral shapes protruding from it but at the 'right' angle, as if they're coming from the centre point in the egg, if that makes sense. ie, if I'd drawn an invisible line from one side of the egg over the top of it and finished at the bottom, the spirals would then protrude from this.

How would I go about this? So far I've manged the top one, heh, but I've no idea how to do the rest.

Forgive me if this post is terribly nonsensical, I'm not very good with maths-y stuff!

Can you post a sketch of what you want ?

Edit : add a signature to your profile with your AC version & system info, see mine for example.

I will do that now. While waiting for a response, I had a little play about myself but I'm doing it all manually so it's taking a very long time. I will upload what I've done so far in a moment to give you an idea of what I want.

Okay, bear in mind I'm very new to this! Here's a rough idea of what I want, the right side looks better, I'd like all the spirals to be facing the same way.

To get you started, in the library under SPECIAL OBJECTS there is a Spiral object. It has parameters which allow you to rotate the object around the X and Y axis. You could add a parameter to rotate it around the Z axis.

A better solution is to use Ralph Wessel's Objective, it is free for students.
