cross-vault (rib vault or groin vault) in ArchiCAD 16

How to model any of mentioned above vaults? Forget about default library objects – they are too simple. I know it can be done manually from morph barrels – but it is tedious work: to calculate the intersections etc. In previous versions we had arc roofs and we could crop them to each other. With morph tool we don’t have this option.

I need to model a vault like attached one.

That's a tricky one since you've added some extra arch next to the groin bits. It is always better to use orthographic tools attempting this kind of work.

The basic cross vault is eight short semi-arches drawn down with the complex profile via the wall tool. Let Archicad fill in the groin - just draw the corners.

The intermediate arches are trickier.
I solved them with an arched complex profile beam, tilted to 45 degrees and stretched upward to fill the void. This takes some guesstimating between the initial beam curve and the amount of stretch - solved in 3D. [Might be better done with a Morph after all, once you have the basics in.]

Trim the beam overshoot with SEO.
