file converters 7 and 10

Trying to bring old files up to AC19 - the AC10 file converter says I need to upgrade to the most recent version of AC10. Where can I get that, and probably most recent AC7? Thanks, Leif

I just recently installed the 10 file convertor and it says that it is up to date when I check in the help menu.
It also has says the license type is "SPEC" and it starts with a warning message saying it is only to be used for converting files.

I am wondering if you have the 'FULL" version of 10.

No matter though if you can open old files then that is all you need.

All you need to do is open them in 10 and save them.
Then open them in 19 or any other newer version.

Version 10 can open files back to version 6.5 so you only need the 7.0 convertor if you need to open files from version 4.1.
However you will not be able to run the 7.0 convertor on MAC OSX 10.7 or newer.

Right now the files will not open with the converter (message saying I need to update 10) with no key plugged in. If I just try to open with the new key it says no key found. That's why I was wondering how to get the most recent AC10. I have a few files from AC4.12 that I was hoping to bring up, hence the AC7 converter - which I have not tried yet. Thanks, Barry!

This makes me think you are trying to run the full version of 10.
It was never designed to run with a codemeter key which is why it can't find a license.

The version 10 convertor will run with a codemeter key.

Yep - somehow a full version was getting in the way. Both converters (7 & 10) working great - just opened a file from 5.0 in 19! Thanks, Leif
