lineweight

Hello. I am working in a file where i changed the color and weight of certain pens and everytime i close the file and reopen it it goes back to the original preset settings. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Operating system used: Windows

Are you saving and updating the Pen Set you changed the line weight in? You will also need to update the view settings to make sure it’s using the correct Pen Set if you created a new one.

I agree with Lee.

You should be updating and saving the pen set that you are using.

Or create a whole new pen set.

You should never see "Custom" for a pen sets, or anything else (layers, etc.) come to that.

I did that and it worked for a day and now when i opened the file i see the pen set that i customized and all of the setting are back to the archicad preset.. Does it matter that i have and eductional version?

Having an education version shouldn't make a difference. Have you saved Views of your plans in the Navigator? When you save a View (to place on Layouts), you get the options within the Settings of the View to assign a specific Pen Set, Scale, Renovation Filter, Design Option etc. When you then open the View all oft he settings should be applied including the Pen Set. The View acts as a snapshot of the project drawing.
